Mr Gibbs performed a full hip replacement on my Left hip on the 16th of Feb this year. Being a younger patient with a job and children to care for I was worried about post-op limitations both in the short and longer term. Mr Gibbs and his team were supportive, informative and professional, and reassured me that anything I could do prior to the surgery I could take up again. I'm nearly 4 months post-op and feeling amazing. I started back to Pilates about 8-weeks post op and am now back at the gym 2+ days a week plus an additional day with a personal trainer. I have a way to go in terms of undoing the bad walking habits and fitness deterioration that happened in the 1.5 years leading up to the surgery, but with the progress I've made so far, I feel confident I'll be back to my better self soon. One of the best outcomes of it all is that the constant ache and often worse that I had for 8+ years that affected all parts of my life, including sleep, are gone. Thank you, Mr Gibbs.

James had previously replaced my right hip, and approached the full replacement of my right knee with the same professionalism, excellent communication, and reassurance. The results after 7 weeks is excellent, and I expect further improvement over the next months. Very satisfied with the care and attention from James and the staff at the Nuffield.

Mr Gibbs put me completely at ease about my operation he explained very clearly what the operation would entail. My recovery was much quicker than I thought it would be and I am extremely happy with the result. I cannot say enough about the treatment I received.

Mr. Gibbs was very thorough in his explanation of my condition. There was no pressure as to when I need to have it done. The operation went smoothly and I have recovered amazingly quickly. I stopped taking any pain killers after three weeks.

In January this year, I saw Mr Gibbs as I had great trouble to even walk across the lounge. He recommended a partial knee replacement on my left knee, which I have now had. Although it is still early days ( just three weeks post up)I am managing to get around well. I can see improvement every day. I have found Mr Gibbs to be a very approachable and pleasant surgeon. Nothing is too much trouble to explain the operation involved. Mr Gibbs has also performed a knee arthroscopy and hip replacement on my right leg, both of which I have been very pleased with. would strongly recommend Mr Gibbs for any similar operation.
